Dolphin Babies Swim School
Near Charleston and Rainbow Las Vegas 89145
Nancy Sullivan, Director of Dolphin Babies Swim School, opened the school in 2006 just outside of Tampa, Florida. Once her two children graduated from high school and left home--her son to the U.S. Marine Corps and her daughter to college--Nancy relocated the swim school to Las Vegas.
"Swimming is a skill your family will enjoy with your child her entire life, in your own pool, on vacations, and at her friend's birthday party. I love it when my swim parents tell me their three year old swam better than her seven year old cousin over the weekend. Or when a 13 month old student stops everyone in their tracks at a resort pool because everyone was blown away, watching the baby swim and float. I love my job!"
In addition to swimming for fun, Nancy feels an urgency to teach children the skills that will empower them to be safe in the water when gates, locks, and adult supervision aren't enough. In the United States, drowning continues to be the number one cause of accidental death among children under the age of five.
Drowning IS Preventable.
Nancy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She is a licensed teacher with the Nevada Department of Education. In addition, she holds certifications from Pediaswim, the American Swim Coaches Association, and the American Red Cross in Infant/Child/Adult CPR.
Nancy's studies include several languages. She is proficient in both Spanish and American Sign Language.
